Born in New Orleans, Louisiana and raised on the Mississippi coast, Richard Trest’s songs are alive with the unique images and festive music that are a tradition in that part of America. His songs tell stories that are timeless and his melodies and lyrics can make you laugh, cry, dance, tap your feet or sing along. 

When Richard’s not busy writing songs here in Nashville, you’ll find him performing at Songwriters Festivals, sharing his songs at local venues like The Blue Bird Café or trying to catch smallmouth bass off his dock.
