In this edition of Under The Big Tent Artist Q&A, we sat down with Georgia artist and songwriter Larry Scroggs, lead singer of The Larry Scroggs Band and member of our Big Tent Nashville family.

(1) Where are you from? (What’s your hometown?)

Gainesville Ga (Northeast of Atlanta)

(2) When and how did you find Big Tent?
I met Kristen and David at a Nashville songwriters round.

(3) What’s it like working at Big Tent?
I've co-written a few songs at Big Tent and they always treat me with respect and have great songwriters in their catalog. Look forward to working more with the team.

(4) Who are you musical influences and which artists do you like in the marketplace today?
I enjoy many artist including - The songwriting of Chris Stapleton, Jamey Johnson, Sturgill Simpson, Whitey Morgan, Ward Davis. 
 
(5) What do you have going on in your career right now?
I play songwriter rounds all over the southeast as well as front our band, Larry Scroggs & The Asphalt Cowboys. We are a 5 piece band that plays original music as well as covers. All members exchange lead vocal roles to accommodate playing many genres of music, including Country, Blues, rock and oldies. I also write and co-write as often as possible.
